Text: Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God.” Stillness. A small word. A hard practice. In a world that glorifies speed, productivity, noise, and endless motion, stillness feels almost unnatural—like fighting the current of a restless river. Prayers linger in the air unanswered. Promises shine from afar like a distant star, beautiful but unreachable. The soul grows restless, asking with trembling lips,  “Lord, when?” It is in such valleys that the ancient prophet Habakkuk becomes a companion. His world was filled with injustice, national confusion, and moral decline. God seemed silent—almost absent. Yet in the very heart of his bewilderment, the Lord spoke a word that continues to breathe across centuries: “The vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” What a paradox.
